How to request deletion

1. Open the NaijaWorld contact form.
2. Enter the email address linked to your account and write Delete my NaijaWorld account in the message. Include your NaijaWorld username if you know it.
3. We may contact you at the registered email address to verify that you own the account before deleting it.

Data that will be deleted

• Your account credentials and private contact information, including your email address.
• Your profile information, preferences, notification tokens, saves, follows, and community memberships.
• Other personal account records that are not required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Data that may be retained

Public posts and comments may be retained in anonymised form so conversations remain understandable. Records required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations may be retained for as long as the applicable requirement lasts.

Deletion timeline

Verified deletion requests are completed within 30 days. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being overwritten, unless a longer period is required by law.
