Rewards & Invites Terms

NaijaWorld rewards members who take part: you earn points for posting and commenting, and members who finish in a prize place on the daily, weekly or monthly leaderboards receive bonus points, badges and — when cash prizes are running — airtime, data or a bank transfer. You can also earn rewards for inviting friends who become active.

Prizes are awarded on merit, by points earned. There is no draw, no element of chance, and nothing to buy: it is free to take part. Current prize amounts, the points needed to qualify and the time each leaderboard resets are shown on the Leaderboards page.

• Prize places go to eligible members in leaderboard order. NaijaWorld staff, admin and community seed accounts appear on the leaderboards but never take a prize place.
• To receive cash, an account must be at least 14 days old when the period ends (7 days for the weekly Rising Star prize), in good standing, and free of moderation strikes during that period.
• If a member in a prize place can't receive cash, they keep their points and badge and the cash passes to the next eligible member.
• Ties are broken in favour of the longer-standing account.
• Points earned per day are capped (for example, a limited number of posts, comments and likes count each day) so that the leaderboards reward real participation.

• Claim your prize from Rewards within 14 days. Unclaimed prizes expire.
• You need a working email address on your account, confirmed by tapping any link in an email we've sent you. You can ask for a fresh link from Rewards. It can't be a temporary or disposable address, or one our emails bounce from.
• Choose airtime or data on MTN, Airtel, Glo or 9mobile, or — for prizes of ₦10,000 or more — a transfer to a Nigerian bank account in your own name.
• Each phone number, bank account and email inbox can be used to claim for one NaijaWorld account only.
• For prizes of ₦20,000 or more we will contact you by phone or WhatsApp to confirm before paying.
• We aim to pay within 72 hours of a valid claim.

• Your friend must join using your invite link or code, within 3 days of creating their account.
• An invite counts once your friend has picked their interests, posted or commented at least once, and been active on 3 different days within 14 days of joining.
• Both of you get bonus points when an invite counts. When cash rewards are running, cash for an invite is paid only once both of you have confirmed your email addresses.
• Rewarded invites are capped each month. Invites beyond the cap still count towards your total.
• Inviting yourself, or creating accounts to earn invite rewards, is not allowed.

We check for abuse, including multiple accounts, shared devices or payment details, automated activity and coordinated voting. We may review, withhold, reverse or cancel any points, badge or prize where we reasonably suspect abuse or a breach of the community rules, and may suspend the accounts involved. Our decision on eligibility is final.

We use the phone number or bank details you give us only to send your prize and to prevent abuse. We keep them on your prize record, and delete them 90 days after the prize is paid; a scrambled fingerprint is kept so the same number or account can't be reused by another account. Prize amounts, rules and the overall budget may change, and the programme may be paused or ended, with notice on this page. Prizes already won before a change are honoured. Questions? Contact us.
