Former Zamfara Commissioner Talban Zurmi Defects from APC to PDP

Abdullahi Muhammad Gurbin Bore, popularly known as Talban Zurmi, has left the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State. The former Zurmi Local Government chairman and commissioner was received at the PDP state secretariat in Gusau alongside supporters. PDP leaders described the move as a boost for the party in Zamfara North. They said the former official's grassroots network could strengthen the party's structure in Zurmi and neighbouring areas. Talban Zurmi said his decision was driven by concerns about hardship and insecurity affecting residents, particularly in rural communities. He urged the PDP to remain open to more people seeking to join the party.
