Governor Radda to Receive GovTech Award for Katsina Digital Reforms
Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda is expected to receive the GovTech Public Service Award at the 2026 Nigeria GovTech Conference and Awards in Abuja on October 13–14. The recognition is for the state’s reported digital-government reforms, including the iKatsina framework, a resident identification system and the digitalisation of 118 ministries, departments and agencies. The administration says it has also expanded broadband planning, trained about 1,800 civil servants in ICT, supported technology skills for young people and introduced digital tools in sectors such as healthcare, revenue collection, land administration and education. It reported that internally generated revenue rose from about ₦400 million to roughly ₦3 billion monthly following fiscal reforms.
