Witness Says He Paid Blessing CEO ₦69.15m for Lekki Property She Did Not Own
A prosecution witness, Dr Onuoha Okeigwe, told an Ikeja Special Offences Court that he paid ₦69.15 million to social media influencer Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, known as Blessing CEO, for a five-year lease of a Lekki property allegedly presented as hers. Okeigwe said he became concerned after a man identified as Mr Tom arrived with police officers and arrested some of his workers. He said he paid ₦100,000 to secure their release and informed Okoro, who allegedly maintained that she owned the property. The witness said WhatsApp messages and photographs allegedly sent by Okoro were presented as evidence of her ownership. He also claimed she collected payments for the same property from him and another person. Okoro has pleaded not guilty to charges of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing. The case was adjourned to October 26, 2026.
