INEC Restores NDC Nomination Portal, Allows Dickson and Obi Submissions
The Independent National Electoral Commission has reopened the Nigeria Democratic Congress’ candidate portal, enabling the party to upload its National Leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, and presidential nominee, Peter Obi. Senator Dickson announced the development on his social media account. He said the party filed an appeal and a stay of execution against last week’s Federal High Court ruling in Lokoja, and has formally served the electoral commission. He stressed that the NDC is a duly registered party that conducted valid primaries under INEC supervision. Dickson urged members to remain calm, noting there is still time to submit all candidate names before INEC’s deadlines on July 11 and July 17.
