74-Year-Old Civilian Killed as Troops Repel Bandit Raid in Jebbu Miango

Troops of Operation Enduring Peace repelled a suspected armed Fulani bandit attack on Jebbu Miango in Bassa Local Government, Plateau State. The incident occurred around 12:10 a.m. on June 29, 2026, when soldiers responded to reports of sporadic gunfire and engaged the attackers, forcing them into the surrounding highlands. A follow-up search uncovered the body of 74-year-old Mr Baba Den, believed to have been killed during the assault.
