Stevie Wonder Seeks to Evict Former Fiancée From Los Angeles Home After Nearly 40 Years
Stevie Wonder has filed an eviction lawsuit against Carmen Efferson, his former fiancée, over a Los Angeles property she has allegedly occupied rent-free since 1988. Court documents reportedly state that the arrangement was never formalised in writing. Wonder’s legal team says Efferson denied access to the home for an insurance inspection, which they claim put the property’s coverage at risk. She was reportedly given notice to leave in July and was expected to vacate by August 27. Wonder is asking the court to order her removal and award damages and legal costs.
