Catholic Priest Abducted Along Otobi-Amejo-Ajegbe Road in Benue
Gunmen have abducted Rev. Fr. John Inalegwu, the parish priest of St. Margaret’s Parish, Ajegbe-Awume, in Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State. He was reportedly kidnapped on Tuesday, October 13, while returning from Otukpo along the Otobi-Amejo-Ajegbe road. The Catholic Diocese of Otukpo confirmed the incident and appealed for prayers for his safe release. The Benue Police Command said it had confirmed the abduction and that rescue teams were making efforts to locate the priest. The incident is said to be the second kidnapping involving a priest serving at the parish.
