Paul Okoye Says Social Media Ended the Era of Fans Fainting for Artistes
Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, says social media has reduced the mystery and prestige musicians once had with fans. Speaking in a recent interview, the former P-Square singer said artistes were once seen mainly in music videos or during rare public appearances. He believes that distance made fans more eager to see them. According to Paul, constant posting, livestreams and everyday videos now make artistes too accessible. He added that this exposure has contributed to “see-finish” and made expensive music videos less valuable to audiences.
