Dangote Refinery Raises Petrol Price to ₦1,175/L – Third Hike in a Week
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from ₦995 to ₦1,175 per litre. This marks the third adjustment within seven days and follows a brief suspension of sales at the refinery. Diesel prices also rose to ₦1,620 per litre. A refinery official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the move reflects volatile market fundamentals and higher replacement costs. Industry data show downstream marketers have updated their benchmarks. Retail pump prices in many states now exceed ₦1,000 per litre, putting added pressure on transport and production costs nationwide.
