Two Women Arrested for Beating Husband’s Alleged Mistress to Death
Police in Lusaka have charged two co-wives in the alleged killing of a woman suspected of having an affair with their husband. The accused are 24-year-old Musa Samutumwa and 32-year-old Ireen Nasilele, both from the Westwood area. According to court records, the pair reportedly joined forces to beat the victim, identified as Josephine Ngulube, after suspecting she was their husband’s mistress. They appeared calm as the court explained the charges and confirmed they understood the allegations against them. The case remains before the Lusaka Magistrates Court and has yet to be committed to the High Court for plea and trial. The suspects are due back in court for possible committal on May 4, 2026.
