Man Killed in Suspected Cult-Related Shooting in Osogbo

A man identified as Adejuwon Adekunle, also known as Asa, was shot near a recreation centre in the Dele Yes Sir community of Osogbo, Osun State, in the early hours of Tuesday, September 15. Police said he was taken to a hospital after the shooting but was pronounced dead on arrival. His body has been deposited in a morgue. The Osun State Police Command said preliminary findings indicate that the killing may be cult-related. The Commissioner of Police has transferred the case to the Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation. No arrest has been reported.
