Kuwait Says Iranian Strike Hit Chinese Firm’s Building, Killing One Worker

Kuwait's military says an Iranian strike hit a building belonging to a Chinese company in the country’s north on Thursday, killing one worker and causing severe damage. The reported strike came after Jordan said its air defences intercepted five missiles launched from Iran. It also followed what U.S. Central Command described as a heavy wave of strikes on dozens of Iranian Revolutionary Guard targets, including command centres and missile, drone, coastal surveillance and defence facilities. Iranian state media reported that strikes on Qeshm Island killed three people and wounded two others. The developments mark a sharp escalation in tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global energy route.
