Davido Wins Album of the Year at AFRIMMA 2026 as BNXN and Sarz Take Song Award

AFRIMMA returned in Dallas, Texas, after a two-year break with a new three-day music festival format. The event, held from September 12 to 14, combined award presentations with performances and celebrations of African music, food, fashion and culture. Davido won Album of the Year for 5ive after entering the ceremony with five nominations. His album beat projects from Burna Boy, Asake, Tyla and Black Sherif. BNXN and Sarz won Song of the Year for “Back Outside,” adding another major award to the track’s successful run in 2026.
