Sowore Speaks From Hospital After Alleged Attack in Ekiti

AAC presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore says he was attacked by armed men at a restaurant in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, while in the state for political engagements and the Ikogosi Marathon. Sowore later spoke from a hospital and alleged that people linked to the Ekiti State Government House were involved. He also accused DSS operatives of monitoring his team and providing support to the attackers. These claims have not been independently verified. His campaign has called on the police, DSS and other relevant authorities to investigate. The Ekiti State Government, DSS and police are yet to give a full account of the incident or identify those responsible.
