Diddy Listed as Potential Witness in Tupac Shakur Murder Trial
Sean “Diddy” Combs has been listed as a potential witness in the murder trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis, the only person charged over the 1996 killing of rapper Tupac Shakur. Prosecutors allege that Davis, a former South Side Compton Crips leader, arranged the revenge shooting and supplied the gun used in the attack. They do not allege that he was the shooter. Davis has pleaded not guilty and could face life imprisonment if convicted. Tupac was shot in a drive-by attack in Las Vegas after attending a Mike Tyson boxing match on September 7, 1996. He died from his injuries six days later at age 25. The trial comes almost 30 years after the killing.
