Comedian Basketmouth has questioned the culture of showing off wealth on social media, asking who owners of luxury cars and mansions are trying to impress. He said the rich may already have more, while those with less can only watch from a distance. He also wondered why people spend billions on supercars that are difficult to drive on Lagos roads. According to him, worsening potholes and flooding make such displays seem less practical. He added that true wealth does not need an audience.
