Shittu Laments Exclusion of Tinubu’s 2023 Campaign Workers From Recognition

Former Communications Minister Adebayo Shittu says his exclusion from the APC’s 2027 presidential campaign council is not his main concern. He says many people who worked for President Bola Tinubu’s 2023 election victory have yet to receive recognition or opportunities. Shittu, who led the Asiwaju Tinubu Presidential Campaign Organisation, said the group mobilised 1,141 support groups and conducted advocacy on more than 50 radio and television stations across Nigeria. He said he has not had a private meeting with Tinubu since the President took office. According to Shittu, he wrote to the President three times about campaign workers who feel abandoned. He said this could make it difficult to mobilise the same supporters for the 2027 election campaign.
