LASEPA Seals 12 Lagos Establishments Over Noise Pollution and Regulatory Breaches

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has sealed 12 establishments across Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe over persistent noise pollution and other environmental breaches. LASEPA said the affected businesses and institutions had received repeated warnings, abatement notices and opportunities to comply before the enforcement action on September 22, 2026. Those sealed include hotels, lounges, a nightclub, a church, a furniture business, a plastic company and a vegetable-oil facility. The agency said the establishments failed to carry out prescribed corrective measures or comply with its directives. It urged businesses, religious institutions and residents to obtain required permits, follow environmental regulations and adopt practices that protect public health. LASEPA said it will continue enforcement against activities that endanger the environment, public health and the wellbeing of Lagos residents.
