NASENI Trains 100 Onitsha Youths in Electrical Installation, Gives Starter Packs
The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure has completed a five-day training on modern electrical installation and maintenance for 100 youths in Onitsha, Anambra State. Participants received electrical tools and equipment under the NASENI Sustainable Empowerment Programme. The agency said the intervention also includes solar home systems, clean cookstoves and support packs to improve household energy access and help small businesses. Of the 100 trainees, 56 were electricians and 27 were electrical engineering students. The group also included five women and 17 non-indigenes of Onitsha. Community leaders urged the beneficiaries to use the training and equipment to create jobs and support themselves.
