British Student Doctor Deported From Australia After Sexual Assault Conviction
A British student doctor, Faraz Mahboob, has been deported from Australia after being convicted in New South Wales of sexual assault involving two sex workers. Court records said he used false identities and allegedly sent forged bank-transfer receipts after arranging paid sexual services. In one case, he also reportedly provided a blood-test result under a false name before meeting one of the women. Under New South Wales law, consent obtained on the basis of an agreed payment can be invalid where payment is deliberately withheld through deception. Australia’s Department of Home Affairs said non-citizens who engage in serious criminal conduct may be removed from the country.
