Bristol Blast: Grenade Attack Kills Ex-Partner and Attacker
A man carried a grenade to a terraced house on Sterncourt Road in Bristol early Sunday and detonated it outside the front door. The blast killed him and his former partner and wounded three family members, who were treated for minor injuries at hospital. Police said they received a call about a domestic incident at 6.17am before officers arrived and heard the explosion just after 6.30am. A bomb disposal unit was deployed, and the force confirmed the blast is not being treated as suspected terrorism. About 70 residents were evacuated to a nearby pub used as a temporary rest centre. Officers also searched another property linked to the attacker three miles away as investigations continue.
