London Fashion Week SS27 Trends: Nigerian Designers Join the Runway Conversation
London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 brought together established labels, emerging talent and designers from around the world across 47 runway shows and 23 presentations. Nigerian names including Ahluwalia, Mowalola, Tolu Coker and Onalaja were part of a season defined by bold styling and individual expression. Key trends included shorts layered over tights, British-inspired tailoring, bubble hems, romantic slip dresses and lace detailing. Designers also gave leather a prominent place, using it in dresses, suits, skirts and sharply cut separates. The collections showed how familiar silhouettes can be refreshed with unexpected proportions, vivid colours and personal styling.
