Adelabu Denies Viral Claim That He Urged Nigerians to Reject APC

His media office said the viral video was taken from a 2022 interview, when he was the Accord Party governorship candidate in Oyo State. The office said Adelabu’s remarks at the time focused on voters assessing the character and credibility of individual candidates. It argued that the clip was shared out of context to suggest he had turned against the APC and President Bola Tinubu. Adelabu’s team maintained that he remains an APC member and that his calls for transparency in the Oyo governorship nomination process do not amount to disloyalty. It urged the public and media organisations to verify claims and share the full interview rather than selected excerpts.
