Abia Police Pay ₦17.66m Insurance Benefits to 21 Families of Affected Officers

The Abia State Police Command has presented insurance cheques worth ₦17.66 million to 21 beneficiaries of police personnel who died or were affected in the line of duty. The payments cover Group Life Assurance and Group Personal Accident insurance under the Nigeria Police Force welfare scheme. Commissioner of Police Wilfred Afolabi presented the cheques on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police. Afolabi urged beneficiaries to invest the funds wisely, especially in sustainable businesses, their children’s education and household welfare. He also conveyed the police force’s condolences to families of officers who lost their lives while serving.
