INEC Report Details 2023 Election Result-Upload Failures
INEC’s February 2024 report acknowledged technical difficulties in uploading polling-unit results to its Result Viewing Portal after the February 25, 2023 presidential election. The commission cited a configuration error, server responses, heavy traffic and delays in processing queued results. It said software fixes were deployed to address the problems. The failures triggered criticism over transparency, technical preparedness and accountability. However, the report should be checked directly before claiming that INEC specifically blamed individual staff members for the glitches.
