Ogun Police Arrest Suspected Car-Theft Kingpin, Recover Stolen Toyota Camry
Ogun Police Command says it arrested a suspected vehicle-theft kingpin, Mosuru Issa, during a stop-and-search operation along the Mowe axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Police said officers intercepted a wine-coloured Toyota Camry at about 7:30am on 11 September 2026. Three occupants allegedly fled when stopped, but one suspect was pursued and arrested while the vehicle was recovered. Preliminary findings indicate that the car was stolen from Ojoo, Lagos State, on 7 September. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Eleweran, Abeokuta, as police search for the fleeing suspects and the vehicle owner. The command urged motorists to use anti-theft devices and report suspicious activity promptly.
