Anambra Police Query Officers as Armed Robbery Suspect Reportedly Goes Missing From Custody

Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Nnanna Oji Ama, has ordered queries for the DPO of 3-3 Police Station and a DSP over allegations that an armed robbery suspect disappeared after being taken to the station. The command said the CP interviewed the complainant and officers involved after a video about the allegation circulated online. An inspector is to face disciplinary proceedings. The X-Squad has been directed to investigate the suspect’s arrest, detention records and subsequent whereabouts. Police say operational steps are underway to locate the suspect and that the investigation’s outcome will be made public.
