ECWA BoT Chairman Rev. Sunday B. Agang Kidnapped by Gunmen in Jos
Gunmen abducted Rev. Prof. Sunday B. Agang, Chairman of the ECWA Board of Trustees, at his residence in Farin-Gada, Jos North, on the morning of March 24, 2026. About six armed men stormed the retired pastor’s home around 5:00 am. They forced their way in, held the family at gunpoint and drove off with him in a waiting vehicle before anyone could raise the alarm. ECWA has reported the incident to security agencies. The church’s public relations officer lamented rising attacks on its clergy in Plateau and Kwara states. Authorities have urged calm and called for prayer as they work to trace the kidnappers.
