Kano Hisbah Detains TikToker Over Videos Featuring Women
The Kano State Hisbah Board has detained TikTok creator Ukasha Yahaya, known as UK International, over videos showing him dancing, hugging, carrying women and appearing in swimming or bathing scenes with them. Hisbah Deputy Commander General Mujahid Aminuddeen said the 27-year-old was arrested after officials received intelligence that he had entered Kano. He remains in custody while investigations continue, and officials say he will be charged after the investigation. During questioning, Ukasha reportedly said he could not remember how many videos he had made with women. He apologised, said relatives had repeatedly cautioned him, and pledged to stop producing such content as he prepares for marriage. Hisbah also warned young people against online content it considers contrary to morality and religion.
