Power Outage Ruins Over 50 Bottles of Tiger Nut Drink, Nigerian Vendor Breaks Down
A Nigerian tiger nut drink vendor has shared her frustration after a power outage lasting more than three days reportedly spoiled over 50 bottles she had prepared for customers. She said she could not keep the drinks chilled and was due to make deliveries. Although she considered using a generator, the cost of petrol made it difficult to do so without cutting deeply into her expected profit. The visibly upset vendor blamed unreliable electricity and rising operating costs for the pressure facing small businesses. She urged leaders and voters to consider the daily hardship experienced by Nigerians trying to earn a living.
