Dangote Shifts Petrol, Diesel and Jet Fuel Pricing to US Dollars

Dangote Refinery has moved to dollar-denominated pricing for its refined products. Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) is now fixed at $0.779 per litre. Diesel has been benchmarked at $1.087 per litre. Aviation turbine kerosene is set at $0.942 per litre, while coastal petrol deliveries now cost $1,044.62 per metric tonne. This marks the end of naira payments for refined products from October 1, 2024. All previously issued naira-based invoices and deal recaps are now invalid. The Group Commercial Operations team issued the notice to petroleum marketers and customers. This move could reshape pricing dynamics in Nigeria’s deregulated downstream petroleum sector.
