Sanwo-Olu Commissions Oshodi Energy Hub With CNG, LNG and EV Charging
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commissioned an integrated energy hub in Oshodi, bringing petrol, diesel, LPG, CNG, LNG, electric-vehicle charging and vehicle-conversion services into one facility. The hub is located along a busy transport and commercial corridor and is expected to expand access to cleaner fuel options for commuters, transport operators and businesses. Sanwo-Olu said the project could help lower transport costs while supporting Lagos’ shift towards more sustainable mobility. The facility was developed through collaboration between the Lagos and Federal Governments, regulators and private investors. IBILE Oil and Gas Corporation also launched its Lagos Energy Access and Cleaner Mobility Programme, outlining plans to expand CNG stations, LPG facilities, vehicle conversion centres and EV charging infrastructure across the state. The corporation said it currently operates 18 retail fuel stations, eight LPG plants, four LPG hubs, five CNG refuelling stations and four conversion centres, with 12 additional CNG stations under development.
