ADC Claims APC Will Keep El-Rufai in Custody Until After 2027 Polls

The African Democratic Congress says the All Progressives Congress plans to deny Nasir El-Rufai bail until after the 2027 elections. ADC spokesman Bolaji Abdullahi argued that holding El-Rufai on bailable charges under impossible bail conditions appears deliberate. He warned that releasing the former Kaduna governor ahead of the polls would strengthen the opposition. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Abdullahi insisted the ruling party wants El-Rufai detained in perpetuity until its electoral interests are secured.
