Troops Rescue 11 Kidnap Victims After Repelling Attacks in Kebbi
Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued 11 people during two security operations in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State. On October 30, troops responded to reports that armed attackers had blocked the Ribah-Dirindaji road and attempted to invade Ribah town. Seven residents were taken, but troops pursued the attackers towards Rambo village, leading to the victims’ release. They have been reunited with their families. In a separate operation on October 31, troops on patrol in the Wasagu-Falfala area came under attack. The troops repelled the attackers and later found four abducted residents who had been abandoned during the exchange. The four victims were handed over to the village head. The task force said it will sustain operations in the area and urged residents to provide timely information that could support security efforts.
