Between 30 June and 11 July, the University of Port Harcourt pursued key collaborations. The Vice-Chancellor led a delegation to the University of Bonn. They discussed the proposed Centre for Dependency and Slave Studies. Prof. Kalu Wosu represented Nigerian universities at a conference in China. The University held its 19th Valedictory Senate session to honour retired professors. It also hosted a SIWES workshop to improve industrial training. Delegations from HYPREP and the International Agency on Cancer Research visited to plan public health research on oil pollution in Ogoniland. New medical doctors, dentists, and laboratory technologists were inducted. Five SSLT graduates earned first-class honours. Staff members received TetFund nominations for professional training. Post-UTME registration for the 2025/2026 session is now open. The Engineering Innovation Centre bidding process began. Construction started on the Energy Technology Institute building. Uniport also welcomed Wigwe University for a mentoring visit.
