NDC Leader Assures Candidates Remain on Ballot After Lokoja Court Ruling

Senator Seriake Dickson, National Leader of the NDC, has urged all party candidates, including Peter Obi and Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, to stay with the party despite a recent Federal High Court judgment in Lokoja. The ruling set aside an earlier order directing INEC to register the NDC after the Peace Movement Party claimed ownership of the logo used. Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Dickson dismissed reports of candidates considering departure as a deliberate distraction. He reassured members that the NDC remains registered and all candidates will be uploaded to the INEC portal in time for the 2027 general election. When asked about reporting the judge to the National Judicial Council, Dickson said the party will pursue legal remedies through appellate courts. He expressed confidence in the judiciary’s hierarchy and insisted that justice will ultimately prevail.
