NEPC Urges Plateau Non-Oil Exporters to Improve Global Competitiveness
The Nigerian Export Promotion Council has urged non-oil exporters in Plateau State to improve product quality, expand production and strengthen their ability to compete in international markets. At a seminar in Jos on SME export financing, organised with commercial banks, NEPC officials explained how exporters can access funding to scale their businesses. The programme focused on helping small and medium-sized enterprises increase the volume and value of their exports. NEPC said exporters need market intelligence, quality assurance, capacity development, trade facilitation and affordable finance to compete globally. Participants were encouraged to use the training sessions to identify financing opportunities and grow their export businesses.
