Kimberly Jael Celebrates Uganda’s Independence Day in a Flag-Inspired Gown
Kimberly Jael marked Uganda’s 64th Independence Day with a striking black, yellow and red gown inspired by the country’s national flag. The look featured a sequined black corset with lace trim, draped yellow fabric across the shoulders and a fitted red mermaid skirt with a long train. She completed it with graphic face art in the same colours, pearl details and cowrie-shell earrings. The Miss Universe Uganda 2026 first runner-up said the pearls represent the tears of her ancestors, the sequins symbolise hope for the future and the long red train reflects Uganda’s journey to independence. The outfit was her personal fashion tribute to the country’s history and resilience.
