Chris Brown Gets Suspended Eight-Month Jail Term Over London Nightclub Attack

American R&B star Chris Brown has received an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, after pleading guilty to affray over a 2023 attack at a London nightclub. The suspended sentence means he will not go to prison immediately. A court heard that Brown struck music producer Abe Diaw with a tequila bottle during the incident at Tape nightclub in Mayfair. Diaw was treated in hospital for head trauma and other injuries. Brown’s associate, rapper Omololu Akinlolu, was given a four-month sentence suspended for 12 months after admitting he joined the assault. More serious assault charges against both men were dropped following their guilty pleas.
