Troops Arrest Four Suspected Boko Haram Members as 11 Surrender in Yobe
Operation HADIN KAI troops have arrested four suspected Boko Haram members after an overnight ambush near Azare village in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State. The military said troops, working with the Civilian Joint Task Force, engaged suspected fighters on 21 September. Four suspects were later arrested, while blood traces found in the area suggested that some fleeing members may have been wounded. Troops recovered four bicycles, groceries, a sheep and spent ammunition cases. The operation was part of security actions recorded between 15 and 22 September, during which 11 suspected terrorists reportedly surrendered. Troops also arrested nine suspected drug dealers in Buni Yadi and handed them, along with suspected drugs, phones and ₦85,900, to the NDLEA for investigation.
