Activist Uncovers Video of Delta Artist’s Final Moments Before Police Shooting
Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu has released chilling footage of the extrajudicial killing of 28-year-old Mene Ogidi by a police officer in Uvwie, Delta State on April 26. The video shows Ogidi pleading for his life after his arrest and maintaining his innocence. According to Gwamnishu, Ogidi went to collect a package at a motor park, unaware it contained a firearm. Officers led by ASP Nuhu Usman discovered the weapon and, despite Ogidi’s explanations, opened fire, leaving him in a pool of blood. Ogidi’s family initially reported him missing before the footage emerged online and sparked nationwide outrage. The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the incident. ASP Usman is in custody and an investigation is ongoing.
