Troops Rescue Fursum District Head After Mob Attack in Jos East
Troops in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State have rescued the District Head of Fursum, Alhaji Musa Usman, after he was attacked by youths in the Ninseng community. The incident reportedly followed the killing of a young man, identified as Izang, at an illegal mining site in Nabar Dutse. Two of his brothers were said to have sustained injuries in the same attack. Residents allegedly accused the district head of supporting Fulani residents. His vehicle was set ablaze, while he sustained injuries and was taken to Jos University Teaching Hospital for treatment. Security personnel have been deployed to prevent further violence and possible retaliatory attacks.
