Nigeria Needs Results, Not Endless Campaigns
Nigeria needs a government that delivers visible results, not one that appears permanently focused on political mobilisation. While campaign convoys and promises attract attention, many citizens are still dealing with high food prices, insecurity, poor healthcare, unemployment, unreliable electricity and unsafe roads. The administration points to economic reforms, higher revenue, improved reserves and other macroeconomic gains. Yet many households say they cannot feel these improvements. Reports of widespread poverty, food insecurity, rising debt costs and kidnappings raise serious questions about whether public spending is translating into safer and better lives. The safety of children, farmers, travellers and communities must be a priority. Government should be judged not only by rescues after kidnappings, but by its ability to prevent abductions, protect schools, equip hospitals and make communities secure. This is bigger than any political party or candidate. Nigerians deserve accountable leadership, affordable food, reliable power, quality healthcare, jobs and security. Before the next election, citizens have every right to ask for proof that government is working.
