JAMB Sets 80% Benchmark for Under-16 University Admission Candidates

JAMB says candidates below 16 may sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, but they will be treated as underage applicants for admission purposes. Candidates who are under 16 by September 30 of the admission year will only be considered in exceptional cases. They must score at least 80% in the UTME, Post-UTME and O’Level screening. Meeting the 80% benchmark does not guarantee admission. The final decision remains with each candidate’s chosen institution.
