Olowu of Kuta Urges New Zone 11 AIG to Restore Trust in Police
The Olowu of Kuta, Oba Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama, has urged the new Assistant Inspector-General of Police for Zone 11, Bassey Ewah, to rebuild public confidence in the police and strengthen security cooperation across Osun and Oyo states. During a meeting at the Kuta palace, the monarch said effective policing depends on accessible officers, intelligence sharing and close cooperation among communities, traditional institutions, government and security agencies. He also called for improved security ahead of future elections. AIG Ewah said his office would maintain an open-door policy and protect the identities of residents who provide useful security information. He urged political actors to embrace peaceful conduct and said the police would work with traditional rulers and other stakeholders to promote stability across the two states.
