Singer Omapitch Fires Back at Snake Attack Allegations After Nanyah’s Death
Chioma Igbojekwe, better known as Omapitch, has publicly refuted claims that she sent a snake to kill fellow soprano Ifunanya Nwangene, popularly called Nanyah Music. Nanyah tragically died earlier this year in an Abuja hospital after suffering a snake bite. Social media users accused Omapitch of orchestrating the attack to secure Nanyah’s spot in the Abuja Metropolitan Music Society Choir. One commenter, Uduak Essien, even labelled her a murderer, prompting a fierce response. Omapitch warned her accuser by name, vowing to hold them accountable. Meanwhile, AMEMUSO chorister Paschal Nworgu sarcastically posted photos of several female singers, joking that they all “connived” to replace the late Nanyah, calling them “wicked and evil.”
