Kogi Police Probe Deaths of Two Corporals After Ajaokuta Shooting

Kogi State Police Command has launched an investigation into the deaths of two corporals at ASCO Camp in Ajaokuta. Police said preliminary findings indicate that Corporal Amos Yusuf, who was on night duty, shot Corporal Grace Onimisi before turning the rifle on himself on October 23. The incident was reported at about 11:04 p.m. Both officers were confirmed dead at separate medical facilities. An AK-47 rifle and four expended cartridges were recovered from the scene. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation. Police say the motive has not yet been established.
