Hungarian Man Arrested for Alleged Cannibalism and Body Part Collection
Hungary’s National Bureau of Investigation detained a 30-year-old man after discovering human remains at his Budapest home and workplace. Officers seized skulls, a lower leg, a hand, bones in a suitcase and a heart preserved in a jar. During questioning, the suspect admitted digging up graves in abandoned cemeteries in Hungary and Slovakia and removing parts from his hospital job. He confessed to anatomizing the remains, preparing human tissue as food and consuming it. Investigators have confiscated the suspect’s electronics and data cards. Forensic experts will now analyze the seized body parts to identify their origins. The man faces charges for illegal use of human bodies and may face further offenses once examinations conclude.
